Top 11 Things We’ll Miss About The Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith (via BBC America on YouTube)
It’s amazing how often Donna is needed to tell the Doctor to stop. It makes me wonder what would have happened had she seen eleven during some episodes.
The Doctor doesn’t need a gaggle of women who basically step aside and let him do whatever because they have a fucking crush on him.
He needs someone to yell out “oi! Spaceman you stop it right now or i’ll slap you so hard you won’t need a tardis to see tomorrow!”
Or the quiet voice of reason that says “that’s enough, you can stop now.”

WHOLOCK - Sherlock meets The Doctor! (by John Smith)
Many of you sent us this incredible fan video in which Sherlock meets The Doctor.
I watched this for the second time with my bf last winter. SUCH GREAT ACTING! When this scene happened, my bf glanced over at me and I had tears streaming down my face. He immediately got all concerned and huggly X3 I was like “I’M SORRY -sobbing- I just get.. emotionally invested.. and put myself in their place!”

Am I the only one offended that he slaps her ass in front of what I presume is a family Christmas dinner? x
Well no, but you have to remember this is The Doctor. Even if it’s a ploy, he’s an alien. Never been a human boyfriend before (or even at all most likely). He’s trying his best to look convincing, and well boyfriends do that sometimes. He doesn’t understand it’s not appropriate. Unless he’s trying to be inappropriate. We don’t know yet.
Well, one, he’s 1200 years old so don’t give me that crap that he’s an alien and doesn’t know how humans act. No. He spends so much of his time around humans and on Earth that this argument that he doesn’t know better is outright ridiculous.
Two, would it make it better if he’s ‘trying to be inappropriate’?
Please excuse me for interrupting, but I’d like to point out that the Doctor has been around humans for goodness knows how many years now, he’s witnessed human relationships and how families work, so there’s no excuse for his behaviour at all, and I don’t see anyway of justifying how he could be acting inappropriately.
Considering The Doctor marries MULTIPLE people in history, and has multiple sexual partners and love interests, his behavior is very much on point. We already know that he has problems with settling down and keeping a love interest. In fact, this is pretty congruent with his instinct to run away from the choice that decided the fate of his fellow Timelords. This really isn’t a surprise.
And in all cases he seems like he’s gotten himself into something he hasn’t quite bargained for in the first place. There IS a certain tendency for the Doctor to play the part, and then find himself too far into playing that part that gets himself into more serious territory. In the case of River, it sticks (sort of, but completely messed up chronologically), and Rose, circumstances don’t permit it for very long, but for the most part he’s running away from it entirely.
When it comes to love, The Doctor has some tremendous faults. He’s honestly going through the motions of something he doesn’t truly understand. This is something that he admires of humans, their ability for feeling pure love for one another. I think he has a huge problem with figuring this out, and tries anything out that may lead to it, or at the least play the part. I personally think he’s just trying to blend in.
Not to mention, while someone can learn to understand most things about a culture that is different from the one they are born, one never really truly assimilates into that culture. There’s always something a bit off about them that says “You’re not from around here…”
Aside from all that, this is also a series of writers’ choices. What you’re mad about is not exactly The Doctor, but his writers. They could have just as easily left all this out and chosen something else for the Doctor to not understand, but above all it’s a marketing point. More people will watch. That’s it. This is business. This is humankind.
if you need any further reason to watch The Five Doctors Reboot (FDR) they got John Barrowman in it and showed that he was secretly a straight guy with a wife and kids i fucking love Peter Davison
British TV: where three men aged from 62-70 are horrified and shocked - not because they discovered a man is secretly gay - but because they discovered he’s secretly straight.
Today is Advent Sunday.
I am 35 years of age and I’ve NEVER had an Advent Calendar. So this year I thought I would remedy that. There was only one choice for my first ever advent calendar.
Advent calendars are cool.
